Homeopathy For The Traveller

I used to travel a lot for work.  I enjoyed the opportunity to experience different cities and countries, but the years of business travel to take a toll.  When I started to feel periodic claustrophobia in a plane, I knew I needed to find help.  I decided to explore natural solutions.  Using a combination of homeopathy, flower essences and acupuncture points I became a happy traveler once more!

Homeopathy in Dentistry: Finding the Root Cause

Dr. Gary Fortinsky is a general dental practitioner in Toronto and a graduate and fellow of the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy (FCAH). He also holds the CCH designation (Certified Classical Homeopath). 3rd Bi-Annual Professional Networking Event

Last week the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine hosted its 3rd bi-annual Professional Networking Evening bringing professional Homeopaths together once again. CCHM began hosting this event in 2010 with the intent of providing a venue for homeopaths to meet and network with their peers. Such an opportunity can provide the foundation for new friendships, ideas and support.

Turkey Experience

Last April, after lecturing at the NCH conference in Washington, a smartly dressed lady in her 60’s approached me in a very business-like way and asked me to join her for a coffee.

She told me her name was Cigdem and that I had lectured to her in the mid 90’s during her homeopathic education at CCHM. Cigdem now runs a school in Turkey and she asked that I come speak to her community of Homeopaths in Izmir. I think it was about one breath later that I agreed!

Welcome Back Students!

Another year of students recently began another year at the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine.  Last week we also had our first Teaching Clinic of the year.  This is usually viewed as the most exciting part of a student’s training.  It is the time when students get to apply all of the Homeopathic philosophy and materia medica they learn through real, live patients.

You Don't Have To Suffer From Allergies With Homeopathy

It’s September again.  Many of us look at this time of year as the start of a new year.  This probably comes from all those years in school.  I look at the Fall as one of new beginnings.  Fall is usually a time of increased energy and starting new projects after the slower pace of the summer months.

Busting the Myths About Homeopathy!

If you have spent any time on the internet, on social media sites like Twitter or Facebook or even watch the television, you have probably seen people saying that Homeopathy just doesn’t work.  These people often call themselves “sceptics”.  They claim that they are all about the scientific process, yet when presented with clear evidence to the contrary, they almost blindly cling to their opinions.  Accordingly, I like to refer to these people as “pseudo sceptics” as they do not appear to follow scientific thinking at all.  In fact, scientists are supposed to propose a hypothesis for furth
