The Ontario Federation of Homeopathic Practitioners is a non-profit organization for professional homeopaths dedicated to developing and maintaining high standards of homeopathic practice in Canada. We are the recognized local affiliate of the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH). NASH is the official North American representative of the International Council for Classical Homeopathy, and is an independent certifying body for highly-qualified classical homeopaths in the United States and Canada. Our Goals Are To:
- Develop and support a qualified and certified homeopathic profession, distinct from and in cooperation with other medical professionals.
- Support the public in its right to receive high quality homeopathic care.
To These Ends Our Objectives Are To:
- Certify qualified homeopaths and maintain a register of these individuals.
- Support development of standardized high quality education and training programs in classical homeopathy.
- Support regular and continuing education for the professional homeopath.
- Develop professional support programs for the professional homeopath.
- Require an adherence to an ethical code by all members.
- Work toward recognition of the profession of homeopathy throughout Canada.
- Promote public awareness of homeopathy.
- Support the individualís freedom to choose homeopathic treatment and the availability of homeopathic medicines.
- Support research and development in homeopathy.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with other organizations of classical homeopathy, internationally for the good of all.
Membership Categories
Registered Membership
Registered membership is available to homeopaths who have completed a minimum of 500 hours of training in classical homeopathy, 250 hours of medical sciences courses and received diplomate status from a recognized homeopathic institution.Associate Membership
Associate Membership is open to all.Student Membership
Student membership is available to students enrolled in a classical homeopathic training program at a recognized institution.Membership Benefits
Registered members are entitled to the following benefits:
- a referral service (the OFHP receives many requests for well-qualified homeopaths)
- free listing in the OFHP membership register which is distributed to enquirers
- up to $2 million public liability insurance (all registered members must purchase insurance)
- notification of lectures and seminars by internationally recognized homeopaths
- professional support system to discuss cases and issues of professional practice
- use of homeopathic software to work on cases
- political updates concerning homeopathy
Associate and Student Members benefits include:

- use of homeopathic software to work on cases (students and registered members only)
