The Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine
offers homeopathy correspondence courses! Our home study program
focuses on clearly defined principles and natural laws of healing.
With our correspondence courses in homeopathic study, we make
available whatever knowledge, insight, or experience is necessary to
become a competent homeopathic practitioner in a successful
practice.
To ensure an exceptional standard of
homeopathic training, the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine (TSHM)
offers an intensive, specialized homeopathy correspondence courses.
The correspondence courses we currently offer consists of three
levels (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Level) corresponding
to approximately 700 hours of study for each level. It is
anticipated that each level will take approximately one academic
year (7-9 months) to complete if the student establishes a regular
study schedule.
All correspondence courses in our homeopathy
program are organized into several lessons with associated
assignments. This continuous assessment of student work ensures a
high degree of proficiency, as weaknesses in understanding are
communicated quickly with helpful assistance and advice provided by
a personal course tutor.
A minimum grade average of 70 per cent must be achieved at each
course level to be eligible to proceed to the next level.
The correspondence courses consist of: comprehensive study notes;
audiotaped lectures; diagrams and charts; cross-references to
homeopathic textbooks; self-assessment questions; assignments.
Some students wishing to join our correspondence courses have
already completed significant training in homeopathy elsewhere. Upon
successful completion of a special assignment to determine the
extent of your homeopathic knowledge, a recommendation for a
suitable starting point will be made which will coincide with one of
the three course levels.
For those students enrolled in our
correspondence courses, we encourage creativity, and central to the
experience of learning is the joy of discovery in the science of
homeopathy. The routine of work is thus transformed into willing
service and inspires self-discovery. It promotes mental and
emotional flexibility and a growing awareness of homeopathic
philosophy. As we gain a deeper understanding our ourselves, we also
develop a less prejudicial view of others and a greater appreciation
of humankind.
In order for the homeopathic profession to
continue to thrive in North America, only the very highest standards
of education and training will suffice. Our aim is to maintain these
standards of excellence through our homeopathy correspondence
courses.
