Determining Your Future Healthcare Career: Homeopathy's Popularity On The Rise

Deciding upon your future career as a Healthcare Practitioner is a big decision.  There are many colleges of natural medicine and forms of natural medicine from which to choose—Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Western herbalism, massage modalities and much more.  Many of you may have a hard time choosing a to earn a diploma from a Naturopathic College or a Homeopathic College, both natural medicine colleges. We believe the first place for any of us to start this journey is to discover our passion.  Most of us want to pursue a career in healthcare because we are passionate about it.  Maybe you have experienced a profound return to wellness thanks to natural medicine.  Or perhaps you yearn to find a career that is rewarding in its ability to actually help people feel better.

Homeopathic Medicine is on the rise.  Did you know that it is the second most popular form of medicine in the world, only second to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)?  Many governments support or subsidize Homeopathy in places as varied as India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom and Cuba.

To become successful in practice, you need to choose a college of natural medicine that gives you an education with enough skills in that specific form of medicine.  Think of it this way, would you visit a specialist in conventional Western medicine if you knew they only had a few hundred hours in their speciality?  The current situation in Naturopathic education is that students barely even learn the basics of Homeopathic Medicine.  For example, students at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine receive approximately 250 hours.  Furthermore, Naturopaths who want to specialize in Homeopathic medicine need to take extensive post-graduate training to even qualify for the Homeopathic Association of Naturopathic Medicine (HANP).

The Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine (CCHM) is the oldest and largest Homeopathic College in Canada.  Since 1994, we have trained more Homeopaths than any other educational institution.  In addition, we are the only Homeopathic school in Canada with a Diploma Program independently accreditation by Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA)- the gold standard in accrediting Homeopathic schools in North America.  Our graduates are able to experience clinical success in practice because they receive a thorough education in all aspects of Homeopathic medicine.  They are taught by lecturers with significant clinical experience so students are better able to combine theory and practice.
