Homeopathic medicine is a method of curing
the sick with natural medicines and patient education. Homeopathic
medicine involves the assessment of the whole person and focuses
on disease prevention and health enhancement. In addition,
homeopathic medicine is particularly effective in the treatment of
long-term chronic diseases, as well as the prevention and
reduction of acute conditions.
Homeopathic medicine has been practiced
worldwide for 200 years and plays a significant role in the
healthcare systems of many countries today. Homeopathic medicine
assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself. With
homeopathic medicine, symptoms of ill health are recognized, as
expressed in disharmony within the whole person, resulting in the
patient needing treatment, not the disease.
Some benefits of homeopathic medicine

The Toronto School of Homeopathic medicine
(TSHM) was founded in 1994 in response to the recognized need for
quality homeopathic education. To accommodate growth, TSHM
recently relocated our administrative office, library and student
clinic to the Yorkville area.
Our professional training program is based
on classical homeopathic principles discovered and developed by
Samuel Hahnemann as described in his "Organon of
Medicine." We emphasize clinical ability in a creative and
supportive environment. Our supervised training clinic is open to
the public, offering high-quality treatment at reduced rates. Our
aim is to promote the cause of classical homeopathic medicine as a
prime method for healing the sick.
Creativity is encouraged in our students,
and central to the experience of learning is the joy of discovery.
The routine of work is thus transformed into willing service and
inspires self-discovery. Homeopathic medicine promotes mental and
emotional flexibility and a growing awareness of homeopathic
philosophy. As we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, we
also develop a less prejudicial view of others and a greater
appreciation of humankind.
In order for homeopathic medicine to
continue to thrive in North America, only the very highest
standards of education and training will suffice. Our aim is to
maintain these standards of excellence.
