Instructor

Dr. Joseph Kellerstein D.C., N.D., FCAH, CCH, HOM

Dr. Joseph Kellerstein is a long-standing clinical instructor at CCHM’s Teaching Clinic. He is a highly regarded speaker on the International Homeopathic Conference circuit and delights in sharing his vast expertise with his students. He is genuinely one of the pillars of the professional Canadian homeopathic community. Dr. Kellerstein graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in June 1976. He then studied at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 1980 with the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic with honours. He also received the Dr. Walter Sturdy Memorial Award for general proficiency over the 4 year program, plus the J.M. Wallace award for academic proficiency in the graduating year. He then went on to study Naturopathic medicine at the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine, graduating in 1984. At the OCNM he was class valedictorian. He has had a Chiropractic and Homeopathic practice in Oshawa and Toronto since 1984. In 1991 he graduated from the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy and is a Fellow of that institution. He lectured at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine for 6 years and at the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy for 3. He was also Chairperson Department of Homeopathy at that institution from 1992-1993. His mission statement is “To facilitate the healing and personal growth of my clients through communication, awareness and vitality enhancing therapies – especially homeopathy”.

Course Overview

In this comprehensive course led by Dr. Kellerstein, you will embark on a journey into Samuel Hahnemann's foundational exposition of homeopathy, as articulated in the 6th edition of the Organon. This engaging and dynamic course will draw upon real-life case studies and clinical anecdotes, contextualizing this seminal work within the framework of contemporary homeopathic practice. Vibrant visuals will vividly portray the literal, philosophical, historical, and modern-day significance of each aphorism.The curriculum will delve into some of the most hotly debated topics in homeopathic philosophy, such as primary and secondary responses and the role of miasms in case analysis, among others. By participating in this course, you will acquire a deeper comprehension of the guiding principles underpinning classical homeopathy and uncover the foundational knowledge that has empowered master homeopaths throughout history to achieve remarkable success in treating various ailments. Given the enduring relevance of the Organon to present-day practice, this course is indispensable for both homeopathy students and practitioners.Included along with the pre-recorded units of this course are live Q&A sessions scheduled throughout each school year to give students an opportunity to engage in deeper discussions with Joe about the material they are learning. Students are required to attend a minimum of 2 live sessions, or if a student is not able to attend any live sessions while enrolled in a course, we ask that they submit questions for at least 2 sessions in lieu of live attendance. Students may attend as many of these live sessions as they would like once they are enrolled in the course. Additional support for this course is provided via the College office staff.
