Ethics Policy

CCHM does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), medical history, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, enrolling students, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our students, faculty, staff, clients, volunteers, and patients. We will take affirmative action measures to ensure against discrimination.

CCHM will abide by the principle of the Ontario Human Rights Code within the standards and ethics governing the College. The Ontario Human Rights Code states:

 “Every person has the right to equal treatment with respect to services, goods and facilities without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status or physical abilities.”

This statement governs all aspects of CCHM operations.
